Some brief happenings and decisions that have happened since my last post.
Charter School- After some deliberation, we have decided that the girls will continue their education at their local public school. Kayti was REALLY adamant about staying with her best friends as they negotiate the excitement (horrors?!) of Jr. High. Without her acceptance, Keeli would be dropped to the bottom of the wait list. Keeli is okay with that now. We went over some possible teachers for next year and I think we have reached a solution that makes everyone happy. After all, life is too short not to enjoy the dance while we are here.
Reflections-Although Kayti won at the regional level, she did not win anything at the state level. It was a great essay and when I get it back, I will post it here. Congrats to Kayti for her excellent effort!
Twilight-For those of you that are familiar with this book/movie saga, you have to know that my daughter is OBSESSED with Edward Cullen...LOL. Her bff, Kortney and Kortney's mom recently hosted a Twilight party to celebrate the movie release on DVD. I, along with Kayti and Keeli, went over to enjoy a night of friends and fun. Kayti and Kortney are both counting down the days until New Moon comes out in theaters. Thanks to the Smith Family for a wonderful time! Our lives are certainly better for having friends like you in it!!
School News-Days until the end of school; 44! Enough said! Watch out summer, we are rolling your way! The girls have both received straight A's for the third term and Keeli is even working really hard on perfect attendence for this year. If it happens, it will be the first time she has ever received perfect attendence. Kayti has signed up for classes for Jr. High and will pick up her schedule sometime the beginning of August. Be still my heart...
Dance and Soccer News-Kayti has her first competition this coming Saturday. She has to be there at 8am and we live 1.5 hours away. UGH. I hope to remember the camera for pics and a video. Keeli (and Sean) start soccer this Friday with their first practice. She is super excited to get the ball rolling...pun intended LOL I plan on getting some pics and a video of her first game on here too. Usually Sean will video the events, but I will have to do that because he will be coaching. Don't expect miracles here, people.
Until next time-Adieu
