This time of the year always makes me smile. I love the carefree days of no time constraints or regimented schedules. I love the heat, the smell of chlorine and sunblock. I love the girls playing night games with their friends.
Of course, we do still have some schedules in our lives. Kayti is taking summer technique classes in preparation for her upcoming competition dance season. Keeli has to train twice a week for her comp soccer team. Tonight we are heading out to a REAL Salt Lake soccer game, courtesy of her coach. Unfortunately, Sean won't be able to make it. He is taking a class to become a certified, licensed soccer coach to assist on Keeli's team.
I scored some tickets for an Air Supply concert that will be held in our town for the 4th of July festivities! Those that know me well, know the fixation I have with this group. This will be my second Air Supply concert and I am beyond excited!! The first time I saw them was with Sean back in NJ. The two lead singers actually reside here in Utah, so they play locally pretty often.
On a down note, due to some management changes at Sean's work, he isn't able to take the time off for our Disney trip. The girls were a bit disappointed, of course. We have plans to go to Disney World in a couple of years, so they are looking forward to that now.
It is hard to believe that it is almost the beginning of July already. Our weather has been kind of chilly for June up until this past week, so I feel robbed of part of my summer. No matter. It is heating up now, so it is all good!
