Halloween

As most of you know, Sean's favorite holiday is Halloween. He looks forward to it each year and tries to think up new ideas. We also try to purchase at least one new thing a year for the house or a new costume for him. This year he ended up with a new staff, cloak and some spooky eyes for his costume. We have another piece that we obtained last year. He has affectionately been named Ghoulie. Last year he was seated on the roof of the house, but this year we were able to attach him to the flagpole to guard over the cemetary in the side yard.

Here is a picture of the front of the house with the mummy lit up. The mummy was a gift from his mom and it is a favorite with the trick or treaters every year. Our house sits opposite a stop sign and we position it so that the oncoming cars' lights will trip the motion sensor. We have had many cars just sit at the stop sign flicking their lights on and off to watch the mummy. Honestly, between the several strobe lights and the moaning and groaning mummy's lights, I SWEAR our neighbor's must hate us during this time of year. Even if it were just one day...but NOOOOO....Sean has it all out several days before Halloween. Hanging on the front door is another loved one...his name is Ghostie. He glows an eerie glow with the black lights that are positioned on the front porch. We also bought another new one this year, but I wasn't able to get him in the picture. His name is Ghoulie Jr. Keeli is sitting on the front step handing out candy to the kids that are too scared to approach Sean....all of them. LOL.

Another Halloween is over, but he got so many compliments on the house. I can't even count the adults and kids that told us that our home was the best! That makes it all worthwhile to him as he continues to dream up plans for next year!

I'm regretting not taking Neil by your house this year. He would've loved it. Halloween is his favorite holiday too!
