To start off the new year, it is still cold. YES, I KNOW I live in Utah and it is supposed to be cold in the winter. That doesn't mean I have to like it though. At least January is almost done, so I only have a couple more months of wretched weather. If I can get through February, I will be all set. February has always been the bane of my existance.
A week ago, Sean finally decided to have the surgery done on his ankle. For those that don't know, apparently when we were in high school he broke his ankle and never realized it. How does that happen, you might ask? Heh..that's our question too. As far as we can tell, we have figured out it must have happened between the ages of 14-16 or so. We haven't the foggiest idea how he did it. I
n any case, it has caused him increasing pain over the years and finally it just got too much to ignore anymore. The surgery ended up taking a little over two hours and the doctor said there was A LOT more damage than he expected. Sean came home from the hospital sporting a new hot pink cast (yes, that IS the color he chose!!). He had to completely stay off his foot for 2 days. I am not sure who was going crazier with that..him or me. After that, he was able to get up and get around using crutches. Just this past Thursday, he was given the go ahead to start walking on it using his cast sandal. He hasn't been in much pain and is walking on it quite well. On Feb 2, he will go back and have the cast removed and trade that in for a walking boot. Needless to say, he will probably be out of work until the end of February. God grant me patience...

Keeli held straight A's this term, too. As of right now, Kayti's future plans include graduating from high school a year early and becoming a pharmacist. Keeli thinks she would like to become a fashion designer or an architect.
We are looking forward to this summer with a trip to California! Look out Disneyland, here we come!!
