Happy Days!

It was a little rough going, but we managed to make it until the end of school. Keeli was sad, because she really enjoyed her teacher this year. She is hoping to get a certain teacher for next year and just the thought of that makes her happy to move on. Both girls received awards at their end of the year ceremonies. They both received a Superintendents Award for Academic Excellence. That is for maintaining a 3.75 GPA for the entire year. Keeli also received an award for placing in the top 10 percent nationally on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). It is a standardized test given to students nationally in the 3rd, 5th, 8th and 11th grades. If I could just brag a second here, not only did Keeli score in the top 10 percent in all categories, she actually placed in the 99th percentile for several categories, including the total overall composite score and math! Very, very proud of both girls for doing so well in school this year. They both finished the year with straight A's. Kayti is looking forward to 7th grade, but is also enjoying her summer!

I was able to find pictures of the girls from the first day of school and the last day of school. Amazing how much they have changed over the year.

My air conditioning finally was fixed. Luckily, the cost was no where near what it was originally supposed to be. That is always a blessing! Now that my air conditioning is fixed, our temps have been chilly 70's. Ok. 70's aren't chilly, but they are certainly not normal Utah summer weather! The heat will be here soon enough, so I will just enjoy being able to open my windows for now.

Sean has been busy at work and soccer. Keeli's last game is tomorrow. It will be nice to be able to sleep in on Saturdays again for a while. Kayti has decided to continue dance next year, but she is taking the year off from competition and taking the rec class with her bff. I am just glad she decided not to stop. We love watching her dance! In addition, Keeli will begin taking a rec dance class too. We can't wait to see them both in a recital. Guess I have to buy a new camcorder that will work with Vista. Hmph..
