It is here. I tried kicking and screaming. I fought it with everything I have. The first day of school has arrived. Do you see a smiling face on me? Not a chance. My girls like school (well except for Kayti last year, but that was the exception rather than the rule). They look forward to going to school most days. I, however, miss the carefree, relaxed days of summer. It has been a good one and I really was not ready to let it go. Here is a picture of Keeli this morning. I took one of Kayti too, but it didn't come out. I will try and get one of her after school.
It should be a good year. Kayti thinks Jr. High rocks and Keeli has an AWESOME teacher this year. I can't even tell you how much I adore this lady! She has a class full of great kids too. Kayti's birthday is 9 days away and she is super excited. I will officially have a teenager in the house.
Keeli's first soccer practice is today after school. She is used to practices for only an hour. Her new coach does them for 2 hours at a time. Luckily, it isn't really hot today. She is looking forward to getting the soccer show on the road. Sean isn't coaching this season due to a scheduling snafu. Although he was VERY upset at first, he has calmed down. It will be very hard for him to watch the games without yelling instructions to Keeli like he is used to. It might be better this way. Now he can watch the games with me as a parent instead of a coach.
